NCH2O natural clay humidifier

Natural Clay Humidifier

This project was created using clay from the vicinity of Rzeszów and it owes its final appearance to this. After being fired in a kiln, the so-called “earthen” clay is slightly porous, it absorbs water and then release it again; its smell has a hint of earth. Hand-formed containers made of this are in the shape of mountains and volcanoes. They function as natural air humidifiers when filled with water since it evaporates slowly through their surfaces. While drying, the clay changes colour and gains a characteristic white residue – a natural effect. The containers can be sprinkled with essential oils so that these “mountains” will not only moisturise but also scent the air. They can be used in the home or office.
They do not require constant attention, though ensuring they are filled with water helps to maintain the right air humidity, including in air-conditioned spaces.
The air humidifiers are available in three sizes, depending on the size of the ceramic basin (you place it on): the biggest one holds three humidifiers, the middle one holds two, and the smallest holds just one.
